Reservations Supervisor

Summary: Responsible for the day to day supervision of the Reservations Department, ensuring and maintaining the highest standards of professional selling. Ensure that the departmental employees have the appropriate tools, knowledge and training to complete their duties and provide exceptional service to our resort guests. This position involves heavy emphasis on coaching, training and call scoring for the departmental employees.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Include the following. Other reasonable duties may be assigned.

  • Promote team spirit and encourage excellence in telephone sales and service performance among all reservations staff. Works one-on-one with reservations agents to improve their sales techniques as well as insures an ongoing coaching, training and development of staff.
  • Embraces current NAVIS reservation sales system and process to ensure highest quality, sales conversion and measurable results for department (including regular feedback to employees, to also include accountability and drive for results).
  • Supervises the team’s reservation data entry, to also include monitoring the daily arrivals, group pickup reports, and ensures that cancellation and deposit policies are upheld.
  • Assist Reservations Manager with overseeing the Group Reservations processes and work flow.
  • Employee scheduling and payroll maintenance, with the ability to react to changes in phone volume while performing within the departmental budget.
  • Assist Reservations Manager to maintain employee discipline, conduct employee reviews, and ensure the travel consultants follow the policies and procedures within the hotel.
  • Assist the Reservations Manager for loading and maintaining rates, packages and tracking codes in the Property Management system.
  • Assist the Reservations Manager with monitoring room categories in the PMS system, to ensure revenue maximization and potential yield management opportunities.
  • Complete data entry required for monthly performance results.
  • Assist Reservations Manager with meeting attendance.
  • Must be a good communicator and able to motivate staff in a somewhat cramped work environment. Ability to create good working relations between reservations sales staff and all hotel departments.
  • Requires self-initiative, “think outside the box” approach at times, analytical skills, proficiency in technical areas and customer relations.
  • Knowledgeable and proficient in the area of sales and sales techniques.
  • Requires good time management, organizational skills and the ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Flexible schedule required, with focus on midday shift (10:30 – 7:00 PM) during the week, and/or weekends included.

  • Travel Consultant
    Reservations Department

    Book reservations and provide exceptional customer services through telephone calls and emails. Agent must be able to provide guests with knowledge about properties and their amenities; greet, welcome and direct guests and provide information about the area. Will be required to collect revenue and must be detail oriented regarding documentation. Must have a welcoming personality, enjoy working with people, and possess persuasive selling skills. Agent will demonstrate persistence, overcome obstacles, and strive to improve skills in order to achieve goals. Focus the reservation selling effort around identifying and fulfilling potential guests’ current and future needs. Gain potential guest revenue by addressing concerns, market upgrades and other amenities, and consistently move guests toward commitment. Must have good working knowledge of Windows based computer programs, email (Outlook), Excel spreadsheets, Word documents and multi-line phone systems. Agent must be a self-motivated individual able to organize and prioritize their own work. Must be able to follow direction and adapt to change quickly.

    Hotel front desk or hotel reservations experience required.

    Full Time. Flex to work between the hours of 7:00am - 10:00pm as needed. Weekends and holidays required.

    Nail Technician
    Spa/Salon

    Summary: Provide all nail services for guests, manicures, pedicures, fills, tips and paraffin treatments.
    Ideal candidate will have active clientele list.

    • Assist in special duties and assignments as required

    Education and Experience:  High School diploma, Guest service knowledge required.  Florida Sate Cosmetology License.  One year experience required.

    Hairstylist
    Spa/Salon

    Summary:  Provide shampoo, set, blow dry, styling, perms, color and cuts for guests, within the established guidelines of the PGA National Resort & Spa.
    Ideal candidate will have active clientele list.

    • Perform hair services to include hair cutting, setting, and blow drying, permanent waving and hair coloring.
    • Perform scalp treatments and conditioning treatments. 
    • Inform reception desk of extra charges, color treatments, etc. 
    • Clean brushes and combs after use on each client. 
    • Report any supplies that need reordering to the Salon Manager. 
    • Maintain cleanliness and professional appearance of Salon at all times. 
    • Assist at Reception Desk as needed. 
    • Participate in group demonstrations / lectures 
    • Attend training seminars/ workshops / hair shows to keep updated 
    • Assist in other areas of the Spa or salon as requested by Salon Manager or Spa Director.

    Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required. Florida State Cosmetology License and 5-10 years experience preferably in an upscale Spa setting. Full time. Must be flexible with schedule with the ability to work weekends, Saturday & Sunday as needed.

    Licensed On Call Massage Therapist
    Spa/Salon

    Performs various massage services as requested by guests and members. Florida certification required, 2+ years of experience preferred.

    Called in as needed for vacation coverage, call outs, heavy bookings etc.

    Social Catering Manager

    Social Catering Manager coordinates all aspects of in-house wedding groups. Position entails, but is not limited to:

  • Acting as main hotel liaison to wedding contact.
  • Coordinating all banquet food and beverage & room set-up.
  • Conveys this information in detail on Banquet Event Orders.
  • Coordinating and advising wedding contact regarding room reservations, billing, and transportation.
  • Communicates these details to all departments via the Catering Resume.
  • On-site servicing and follow-through with all of the above, via direct dealing with all related departments within the Resort.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required as indicated above.
  • Excellent organizational skills are a must.
  • Minimum FIVE years in Catering Sales operations required.
  • Technician
    Engineering

    Summary: Responsible for the operation and repair maintenance of all air conditioning, heating, ice machines, ventilation and refrigeration equipment. Responsible under the direction of the Asst. Chief Engineer and Chief Engineer for the execution of technical knowledge and skills in line with their technical specialty.

    HVAC, MECHANICAL, LAUNDRY, KITCHEN, ELECTRICAL, CARPENTRY experience preferred.

    Director of Audio Visual Sales

    We are looking for an experienced and passionate sales and client service professional to join our in-house Audio Visual team as the Director of Audio Visual Sales.

    The Director of Audio Visual Sales will be responsible for developing business partnerships while promoting, proposing and operating social and corporate events.

    The candidate will be responsible for developing new sales leads and expand existing relationships with focus in sales revenue and client services.

    Education:
    • Combination of education, training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job
    • BA in Administration, Sales or related degree preferred
    Experience:
    • Minimum of 3 years progressive experience as a sales manager within an audio visual, production, destination management, hotel and/or conference and catering environment

    Golf Maintenance Equipment Mechanic

  • Repair diesel, gas and electric powered equipment with direct mechanical, belt, and hydraulic drive as directed by Supervisor.
  • Sharpen all reel-type and rotary mowers as directed by Supervisor.
  • Perform preventive maintenance operations on all equipment.
  • Perform minor welding and fabrication work as instructed by Supervisor.
  • Perform shop area maintenance. Follow the clean-as-you-go policy; ensure that all work areas are broom-clean at end of each job, and at end of the workday.
  • Determine maintenance and repair priorities with assistance of Supervisor and/or Superintendent on duty.

    Mid Atlantic Sales Manager
    Sales & Marketing

    Job Description: Premier Golf and Meetings Resort located in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida is seeking an experienced Director of National Associations & Mid Atlantic Corporate Markets. Responsibilities include prospecting for new group business, establishing a strong partnership with regional representation companies, monitoring operational execution of accounts with all departments, researching client room night histories for previous meetings and managing the room block for the time of booking until the meeting begins, understanding sales strategies and tactics of competitor hotels, negotiating all rates for group accounts within the guidelines of the budgeted average rates.

    Position requires approximately 1 week of travel per month 7-8 months out of the year.

    Job Requirements: Qualified individual will have 5+ years previous experience with selling group rooms within hotel sales in the Mid Atlantic Market with established contacts. Delphi experience a plus. Must be a self starter with the ability to produce business. Strong client base and multiple contacts in territory with proven track record required.

    Director of Finance
    Accounting

    PGA National Resort & Spa located in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, is searching for a Director of Finance to oversee and direct financial activities, budgeting, audit, tax, accounting, purchasing, long range forecasting, and insurance activities for the organization. PGA National Resort & Spa is a national, premier golf vacation and meeting destination. This legendary 379-room Florida resort features a 40,000 square-foot European Spa; 33,000 square-foot health-and-racquet club with 19 Har-Tru tennis courts, 40,000 square feet of self-contained conference space and nine on-site restaurants and lounges.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
    This position has direct reports of a Controller; Purchasing Manager; and Retail Manager. Indirect reports consist of 18 staff members.

    F&B ADMINISTRATION INTERN WILL HELP THE F&B MANAGERS WITH THE FOLLOWING:

    Summary: Maintain an even flow of the Director and Assistant Director of Food and Beverage daily administrative functions, consisting of extensive in-house and outside correspondence, heavy scheduling of meetings and appointments, ability to handle busy phones, and control of a more comfortable work atmosphere in the executive office.

  • Responsible for administrative requests from the Director, as well as various departments within food and beverage, which consists of composing and typing letters, memos, wine lists, menus, recipes, function orders, thank you letters to customers, response letters to guests or clients, etc.
  • Make preparations for upcoming special events, such as Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s Eve, Easter, etc., by composing special flyers, working closely with the Executive Chef for menus, and keeping concierge and PBX as well as department heads informed. Follow through with events.
